Job Description 

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in an ICMR sponsored project entitled, “Structure-Based Design of Nanobody Inhibitors against EGFR: A Protein Engineering Approach to Develop Novel Therapeutics for Lung Cancer”. Project will be conducted under the guidance of Prof. Deepak Sehgal, Head, Department of Life Sciences, Shiv Nadar University, and his collaborator Dr. Krishna at AIIMS. The project requires candidate with knowledge in Biochemistry/Biophysical Techniques like CD, DLS, Fluorescence, X Ray crystallization etc. The candidate will be encouraged to perform independent research and publish.

Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Life Science / Protein Chemistry with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university with 1-2 year of research experience. Candidate should have cleared GATE, CSIR DBT or ICMR JRF, M.Tech. or any other competitive exam to be eligible for the JRF position with salary of Rs. 31,000 + HRA. Candidates without NET/GATE qualification will be appointed as Project Assistant and paid as per the DST norms.

Candidate should have hands on experience on Protein Purification, Virology and/or Protein characterization. A walk in interview will be held on January 31, 2020 at 10AM . Confirmation should be sent by email.
