Applications are invited from Indian citizens for the Research Associate-I position in the School of Mathematical and Computational Sciences, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Kolkata, India for a project titled: Searching drug targets against NMII paralogues using system biology approach in cancer progression

Educational qualifications: The position requires the following educational qualifications:

1.  A Ph.D. in Computer Science/Biological Sciences/Bio-Technology from a recognized university or institute (research area should be relevant to the project).

2.  A minimum marks of 55 percent in B.Sc./B.Tech. OR M.Sc./M.Tech.

Emoluments:  As per rules of the Institute.

Duration: Initial appointment will be for six months, subjected to extension foranother period of six months depending on the review of the candidate’s performance.

Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis and are awaiting award of the same may also apply subject to receiving their Ph.D. degree. Such candidates are eligible to draw fellowship at par with RA only after their Ph.D. degree.

Application Procedure:

1.  The candidate with the required qualification is to appear for a walk-in-interview on

10January 2020. Candidates should bring their CV, original/self attested mark-sheets and degrees from class X onwards.

2.  A candidate should report to Dr. Partha Basuchowdhuri, Room Number 72B, Main-Building, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Jadavpur, Kolkata 32. The reporting time is: 10:30 AM.
