Post I

Position Name: Scientist-I (Non-Medical)

No. of Posts: 01

Name of Project: “Developing predictive model for the early detection of Intrauterine Growth Restriction (IUGR) in new-borns from polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) concentration in maternal blood”.

Maximum Age Limit: 40 years on the date of Interview. Age relaxation is admissible according to ICMR Guidelines

Emoluments: 48,000/- + 6300/- HRA a month

Essential Qualifications:

1st Class Master Degree in Biomedical Sciences/ Life Sciences/ Toxicology/ Environmental Sciences from a recognised university with two year’s research experience in the relevant field.

OR

M.Sc. Degree having 2nd Class with a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences/Life Sciences/ Toxicology/ Environmental Sciences from a recognised university.

Desirable/Preference: Experience in P AHs/Pesticide residue analysis in biological samples. Prior experience in handling placental and cord blood samples, and sophisticated analytical instruments viz., GC, HPLC and GC-MS will be favoured.

Tenure: The duration of the appointment will be initially for a period of one year and is very likely to be extended further for a maximum of 3 years on a yearly basis subject to satisfactory performance of the candidate.


Post II

Position Name: Research Assistant

No. of Posts: 01

Name of Project: “Developing predictive model for the early detection of Intrauterine Growth Restriction (IUGR) in new-borns from polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) concentration in maternal blood”.

Maximum Age Limit: 30 years on the date of Interview. Age relaxation is admissible according to ICMR Guidelines

Emoluments: 31,000/- p.m. (Consolidated)

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. In Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Environmental Science/Bioinformatics with 1st Division.

Desirable/Preference: Expertise in bioinformatics, toxicology and handling the biological samples. Experience in machine learning techniques. Knowledge of R statistical programming language.

Tenure: The duration of the appointment will be initially for a period of one year and is very likely to be extended further for a maximum of 3 years on a yearly basis subject to satisfactory performance of the candidate.


Post III

Position Name: Project Assistant

No. of Posts: 01

Name of Project: “Integrative Analysis of Psoriasis Transcriptome for Identification of Potential Therapeutic Targets”.

Maximum Age Limit: 35 years on the date of Interview. Age relaxation is admissible according to ICMR Guidelines

Emoluments: 31,000/- p.m. (Consolidated)

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. In Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics with 1st Division.

Desirable/Preference: Expertise in bioinformatics ‘transcriptome analysis’, histopathology and immunohistochemistry methods.

Tenure: The duration of the appointment will be initially for a period of one year and is very likely to be extended further for a maximum of 3 years on a yearly basis subject to satisfactory performance of the candidate.

How to Apply:

  1. Candidates may appear for the interview including all the original certificates and a set of self-attested copies of certificates on the day of the interview.
  2. The experience will be counted according to the date of the interview and after acquiring the essential qualification.
  3. Benefits of Provident Fund, CCA, Leave Travel Concession, Medical Claim, Leave Concession etc. Aren’t admissible. The posts are only temporary, co-terminus together with the project, along with the incumbents chosen will not have any claim for regular appointment/employment under ICMR-NIP or continuation in an additional project and his/her engagement will be deemed terminated immediately after expiry of their project/tenure.
  4. Age concession to the extent of service rendered in additional research projects is also admissible for experienced and skilled persons.
  5. Candidates employed in Govt. Service/ Semi Govt. / Autonomous Bodies of State/Central Govt. Must submit a”No Objection Certificate” from their employer at the time of interview.
  6. No TA/DA is going to be compensated for attending the interview.
